What does it mean to sow to please the Spirit?

Galatians 6:8 (ESV)

8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Once again, sowing to please the Spirit can be understood in two senses. In the context of giving, it means to support faithful pastors with the resources they need, so that they can devote themselves to prayer and the ministry of God’s Word. In the context of doing good, it means to pursue the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23).
