Understood in relation to the concept of providing, doing good
refers to the giving of money and other resources to alleviate suffering or meet the needs of others. This does not mean supporting those who refuse to work (2 Thessalonians 3:11–12). 1 A wider context can also be discerned, whereby good refers to all that is morally good and in keeping with God’s commandments. 2
9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
