1 Samuel 21:1–22:5 (ESV)

1 Then David came to Nob to Ahimelech the priest. And Ahimelech came to meet David trembling and said to him, “Why are you alone, and no one with you?”

Psalm 34 and 56 are both said to have been written by David in response to the time he spent in Gath where he pretended to be mad. Both songs testify to a confident trust in the LORD and praise God for his deliverance. It would be good to sing one of them after your sermon in order to showcase the change that the Spirit worked in David’s heart.
