What was required of the man who discarded the burnt offerings?
Leviticus 16:28 (ESV)
28And he who burns them shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.
The man who takes the remains of the sin offering outside the camp was considered to be unclean. He was required to undergo a purification ritual before resuming fellowship with God’s covenant people.
28 And he who burns them shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.
