What should be done with the blood once the animal has been killed?
Leviticus 17:14 (ESV)
14For the life of every creature is its blood: its blood is its life. Therefore I have said to the people of Israel, You shall not eat the blood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.
Rather than eating or drinking the blood, the hunter is to drain it off. It is to be poured out on the ground like water (Deuteronomy 12:15–16). Then it is to be covered with dirt.
14 For the life of every creature is its blood: its blood is its life. Therefore I have said to the people of Israel, You shall not eat the blood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.
