Absolutely no one is to hand over any of their children to Molech. The activity described here is a form of child sacrifice, as has already been mentioned in the commentary on Leviticus 18:21. It is not only an evil act, but is also a degraded form of idolatry. Such idolatry defiled the holy place, profaned the name of the Lord, and in time ruined the people.
