Does "crowned with glory and honor" refer to the transfiguration?
Hebrews 2:9 (ESV)
9But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
Suggesting that crowned with glory and honor refers to Christ’s glorification on the mountain of transfiguration1 ignores the coherence in scope of chapters 1—2 with the exaltation of the Son at his ascension.2
9 But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
