Who is meant by “the Bride”?

Revelation 22:17 (ESV)

17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

We were introduced to the bride in Revelation 21:2 and Revelation 21:9, where she is the wife of the Lamb, the city/people of God, the church. As the beneficiary of Christ’s coming (he is the husband, Revelation 21:2), the bride will receive her eternal reward (Revelation 22:14). Understandably, she wants her groom to come—and echoes the Spirit’s eager call.
