Jesus is affirming that those who put into practice what he has taught are the ones who truly belong to him and thus they will stand firm on the day of final judgment.1 Entrance into the kingdom comes to those who bow to his lordship.2 The one who takes Jesus’ words to heart will never be put to shame.3
25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
