It is foolish to build a house thinking that rain and storms will never come and that sunny days will remain forever.1 This is why the man who builds his house on the sand near a riverbed is foolish.2 He does not think of or plan or prepare for the storms that are bound to come at some point in the future. When those storms do come, they will reveal the instability of the foundation of the house.3
26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
