The most important mark of legitimacy is the calling by God. Here too, Jesus is like the high priests in the line of Aaron. Not only in attitude and action, but also in appointment, Christ is not out of order. He is not a freelancer who puts himself forward. He fully meets the standard of the authentic, classic profile of the priest.1
4 And no one takes this honor for himself, but only when called by God, just as Aaron was.
