What did the men do with the concubine?

Judges 19:25 (ESV)

25 But the men would not listen to him. So the man seized his concubine and made her go out to them. And they knew her and abused her all night until the morning. And as the dawn began to break, they let her go.

The mob does a wicked, vile, outrageous thing which seems good in their eyes: they rape and abuse the concubine all through the night, and at dawn they discard her, leaving her for dead. These are not pagans but Israelites. And there are no angels to step in and save the innocent party, and strike the eyes of the crowd with blindness. Not even her husband steps in; he goes on feasting and then sleeping inside, while she undoubtedly cries out for help. And there is no judgment, no hellfire from heaven at daybreak as with Sodom and Gomorrah. At daybreak, the mob disperses, letting her go.
