1. Judges 20:46 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

What is the significance of adding that all of the fallen were men of valour?

Judges 20:46 (ESV)

46 So all who fell that day of Benjamin were 25,000 men who drew the sword, all of them men of valor.

The author’s added note that all who fell that day were all of them men of valor points to the extent of Israel's victory, yet also shows regard for the fallen. The Israelites employed superior strategy in the end. Yet the Benjamites were still a mean force, as seen by also their previous two victories.
