Speaking on behalf of Christ

Exodus 7:1 (ESV)

1 And the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet.

When you bring God’s Word, then Christ speaks in and through you …as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:17b).

We must honour the government, but not let ourselves be intimidated by those who rule us.

Jesus said: do not be concerned when you must speak before governors or kings, for, as Matthew 10:20 says, For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you (compare with Exodus 4:12).

See also Matthew 10:40: Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.

The condition is that we bring God’s Word, not a gospel that goes against God’s Word, as Galatians 1:8 warns us; But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.

Bringing God’s Word makes us as a god, but only when we remain humble (1 Peter 5:6), as Moses was also humble (or meek as we read in Numbers 12:3).
