We wage a spiritual battle, which means we must fight with the right weapons (Ephesians 6:12–17) and be alert.
This spiritual battle can also mean that we must suffer because we acknowledge Jesus as Lord. Dictators, like the Pharaoh, do not like that we acknowledge a different Lord, and they will not accept a Lord who is mightier than they.
But, in the end, Jesus will be victorious over the devil. He said to his disciples: “…take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). We share in this victory. And in Romans 16:20 we read: The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
