Israel’s enquiry is met with silence. The Lord can see right through Israel’s implied blame-shifting. And the Lord’s silence should have been a cue for Israel to answer its own question. Israel should know why this happened in Israel. The answer is in the mirror. It is their excessive vengeance that brought this tragedy about. The Lord will not accept responsibility.
