It is not wealth that Job cares most for. It is not even his children, however much he loved them. His righteousness before God is his most prized possession. This is what he refuses to let go of, despite the pressure put on him by his friends. His conscience is clear and he is determined to keep it that way!
6 I hold fast my righteousness and will not let it go; my heart does not reproach me for any of my days.
