After having warned his friends of God’s judgment over the wicked, Job will now remind them that human wisdom is severely limited. God’s wisdom is not like silver or gold, which can be discovered and dug up by men. (In the ancient Near East, silver and gold were mined especially in the regions of Sinai and Egypt.)
