What is the primary objection of the circumcised believers?

Acts 11:3 (ESV)

3 “You went to uncircumcised men and ate with them.”

The primary objection raised against the conduct of Peter is his decision to go into the house of a Gentile and eat and have fellowship with him.1 This action was considered to be contrary to God’s will since it was out of step with the purity laws. With a reference to Gentiles as uncircumcised men, it is possible that this objection also included additional demands for these Gentiles to be circumcised and observe the old covenant food laws.2
