Job 34:34 (ESV)

34 Men of understanding will say to me, and the wise man who hears me will say:

Elihu prepares his listeners for his conclusion. His aim with this speech was to test Job’s statement that God has denied him justice (Job 34:3–6). In his speech, he has argued that God cannot be unjust, for three reasons: (1) God is the Creator and Sustainer of everything (Job 34:10–15); (2) if God had been unjust, he would not be able to rule (Job 34:16–20); and (3) God is all-knowing.
