Do we now know who John's visitor is?

Revelation 1:13–18 (ESV)

13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest.

Clearly, all his self-descriptions make clear that this can be none other than Jesus Christ himself, the same Jesus whom John accompanied for three years in his youth. This is the Jesus who died before his eyes, who arose from the dead and ate in John’s presence (Luke 24:43) and whom John saw ascend into heaven (Acts 1:9).
