What is significant about this Jezebel calling herself a prophetess?
Revelation 2:20 (ESV)
20But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetessand is teaching and seducing my servantsto practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.
The Lord did not call this woman to the office of prophet; she instead took that title upon herself and so claimed falsely that she spoke from God. Since her claim was false, the members of the church were not to listen to her.
