Jesus calls on his church to repent from their present indifference to the gospel, and to return to their initial enthusiasm. The message of the gospel has within itself the power to generate that change in these Christians. Better said, the Christ who has the seven spirits has the power to bring about the repentance he commands.
3 Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.
