The angels will appear as an army of warriors escorting the Son of Man. The presence of the accompanying angels emphasizes the dignity and power of the returning Lord. These angels will be his servants in the great judgment and are called holy because they are accompanying the Son of Man as he comes in the glory of his Father.1
38 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
