1 Hear this word that I take up over you in lamentation, O house of Israel:

What does Amos 5:1–17 reveal about what God does (through the work of the Holy Spirit) in me and through me?

God the Holy Spirit wants to change me so that my life reflects Jesus Christ better each day. He wants me to seek good, to use my power not to serve my own greedy interests but to promote justice as I am able. He helps me to say no to bribes and to speak the truth even when it hurts.
