John describes the third woe (the blowing of the seventh trumpet and its consequences) in Revelation 11:15 – 15:8. As the term woe
indicates, these chapters will describe great hardship. But in light of the angel with his feet firmly planted on sea and land (Revelation 10:1–11) and the ascension of (representatives of) the church into heaven, God’s people on earth need not fear this woe. They may continue to pray in lockstep with Jesus’ instruction on how to pray.
14 The second woe has passed; behold, the third woe is soon to come.
