What is so remarkable about this great multitude’s standing?
Revelation 7:9 (ESV)
9After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
This innumerable multitude is standing before the throne. This provides an answer to the pressing the question of Revelation 6:17, and indicates that there are people who would not perish in the face of the wrath of God and of the Lamb.
