John mentions murder, sorcery, sexual immorality, and theft. A worldview that denies the living God and celebrates idols (and thus the demons behind the idols) invariably results in a lifestyle that hurts the neighbour. Love for the neighbour is ultimately rooted in who God is (see 1 John 3:1–24).
