The antithetical structuring found in 1 Thessalonians 2:1–4 is continued in 1 Thessalonians 2:5–12, although this time there is only one main pair of negative and positive elements. The negative element is found in 1 Thessalonians 2:5–6, with its three denials; the positive element is found in 1 Thessalonians 2:7–12.
