What does Jude 1:20-25 reveal about who God the Father is?
God is love. He has set his love upon his church, called them, and keeps them for Jesus Christ (Jude 1:1, Jude 1:21).
God is merciful. He shows mercy to sinners enabling them to look forward to eternal life in his presence (Jude 1:21).
God is judge. There will be a judgment of fire for those who do not repent and turn from their ways (Jude 1:22–23).
God is powerful. He is able to keep his church from falling into sin and from the lies of false teachers (Jude 1:24).
God is holy. Only those who are without blemish can stand in his presence (Jude 1:24).
God is the only God. There is only one God and no one else (Jude 1:25).
God is the Saviour. He works to save his people from his wrath against their sin (Jude 1:25).
God is glorious, majestic, and has all authority and dominion. There is no one more important than God, no one who operates outside of his power, no one who can ignore him and get away with it (Jude 1:25).
God is immutable. He does not change. Before all time, now, and forevermore all authority and power belongs to him (Jude 1:25).
