The correspondence between the sin of the groups mentioned by Jude and that of the heretics is not one-for-one, so we should be cautious of pressing the typology beyond Jude’s intended purpose.1 His basic argument has been that the heretics will come under God’s judgment in the same way as the people mentioned (Jude 1:5–7).
