1. Hosea 2:9–13 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

How is God going to respond to his people serving the idols with his gifts?

Hosea 2:9–13 (ESV)

9 Therefore I will take back my grain in its time, and my wine in its season, and I will take away my wool and my flax, which were to cover her nakedness.

God is going to take all that wealth away from them. Hosea 2:9–13 describe this in detail. And it gets so serious that God will not only take away grain and wine, but will strip his wife naked. She is left empty-handed in all respects. God is so angry that Israel forgot him, that he will punish her severely. The exile in a few years’ time is proof of this.
