The question is, Who is to judge the trustworthiness of Christ’s stewards? This authority does not belong to any man. Even the steward himself (in this case, Paul) does not have the authority to judge his own trustworthiness. Human judgments are of no account (a very small thing

Paul uses a strange expression, which the ESV translates as human court.
He literally speaks of a human day.
This is probably in order to contrast human judgments with the judgment of the Lord, which will take place on the Lord’s day of judgment (see also 1 Corinthians 3:13).
3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.
