Goodness and evil can never peacefully co-exist. That is why the Christian life is characterized as warfare (Galatians 5:17; Ephesians 6:10–18). Worldly people love fallen, sinful flesh, and hate the righteous life given by the Spirit. The spiritual people love the things of the Spirit, while hating and opposing all evil (Romans 12:9). It is our responsibility not to live so as to blur these clear lines of distinction drawn for us by the Word of God and in the blood of the Son of God, who loved righteousness and hated evil to the point of dying (Hebrews 1:9).
27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, but one whose way is straight is an abomination to the wicked.
