Rulers can only provide stability to their subjects when they live and rule by righteous standards. Commitment to any other standard leads to inconsistency and partiality. This weakens authority and causes rebellion. Let us then pray for and support godly rulers and strive by God’s grace to also be godly rulers in the areas where we are given responsibility.
