There is nothing particularly significant to note in the allotment given to Naphtali. They received rich forested land in the heart of the Galilee region with many of the cities sharing the same name as cities found elsewhere in the land of Canaan. Unique to the city lists of Naphtali is the mention of the fortified city of Tyre. Presumably there were fortified cities in other territories as well (see Numbers 13:28) but it is only in Naphtali’s list that we are given this particular detail.1
