What is the significance of the LORD having given the land?
Joshua 21:43 (ESV)
43Thus the LORD gave to Israel all the land that he swore to give to their fathers. And they took possession of it, and they settled there.
The giving of the land is a reference back to Joshua 1:3. God promised to give the land to Israel and now this promise has been accomplished.1 The divine landlord grants his people their own land where they might prosper in peace (Leviticus 25:23).2
