When might the killing of the men at Tabor have happened?
Judges 8:18 (ESV)
18Then he said to Zebah and Zalmunna, “Where are the men whom you killed at Tabor?” They answered, “As you are, so were they. Every one of them resembled the son of a king.”
This is new information in the book. The killing could have happened in any of the invasions by the Midianites in the past seven years. The kings had the chance to spare Gideon’s brothers, to save them alive (Judges 8:19). But they did not.
