1. 1 Kings 3:28 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

How did it become evident that the Lord had given wisdom to Solomon?

1 Kings 3:28 (ESV)

28 And all Israel heard of the judgment that the king had rendered, and they stood in awe of the king, because they perceived that the wisdom of God was in him to do justice.

It became clear in the decision that King Solomon made in the trial between two prostitutes. He could have sent them away because God forbade prostitution among his people (see Deuteronomy 23:17), but he judged as is the task of the king (see Psalm 72:1–2).
