Was it silent when the temple was initiated?

1 Kings 8:1–11 (ESV)

1 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon showed reverence when building the temple. He did the work in silence (1 Kings 6:7). Reverence does not mean that you cannot organize a feast for God. Solomon organizes a great procession to carry the throne of God—the ark—into the new house of God. In 1 Kings it is told that the ark is solemnly brought into the house. In 2 Chronicles it is said that it was a great celebration with music (see 1 Chronicles 5:11–14).
