God not only came to live among people when his Son came to earth, but even came to live in people after the complete sacrifice of Calvary. People who are washed by Jesus’ blood become the house he wants to live in. They become his temple. It is the Spirit of God that comes to dwell in people. “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple” (1 Corinthians 3:16–17).
