The Bible gladly reports that people come out of the world to the light of God. That is the theme of this passage (see for this theme also 1 Kings 4:34 and 1 Kings 10:24; Isaiah 60:1–22 and Psalm 72:1–20). In the New Testament in Matthew 2:1–23 we find the story about the wise men who come to the Light to worship. Revelation 21:24 talks about kings bringing their glory into God’s city. This is the message of this text, and it is the joy of God’s heart.
