At the beginning of Solomon’s reign, the princess of Egypt becomes Solomon’s wife (1 Kings 3:1). Solomon gave her all the honour and respect due to a queen. He brought her into the palace that David his father had built. She is referred to in the Bible as Solomon’s wife (1 Kings 7:8). She is mentioned here as his first wife, the queen, but it does not say that her gods drew Solomon’s heart from God. This was done by the Canaanite women.
