What is the significance of the word “for” at the start of the verse?
Revelation 16:6 (ESV)
6For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. It is what they deserve!”
With this word the angel introduces his explanation of why he thinks God’s judgments in turning sea and rivers and springs into blood are just and right.
