What does 2 Peter 1:16-21 reveal about what God does in and through me (the work of the Holy Spirit)? God the Holy Spirit inspired men to write down the Scriptures. The fact that we have a Bible to read is thanks to the work of God the Holy Spirit.
Whilst I wait for the return of Christ, the Spirit helps me to trust what he tells me in the Bible. He testifies in my heart that the Bible truly is God’s Word. He helps me to interpret and understand the Bible correctly. He also sets my hope on the future coming of Christ so that I will live in the light of that reality now, pursuing godliness and not being taken in with the lies of those who distrust God’s Word.
