Cutting off someone’s name involves more than their death (2 Kings 23:20). They will have no descendents to perpetuate their line, and they will just become a memory from the past (Deuteronomy 7:24; Deuteronomy 9:14; Ruth 4:10; Psalm 109:13; Isaiah 56:5).
