The salvation that God has worked for his people must make a difference in their practical lives. Even though slaves may be considered as fellow brothers and sisters of their Christian masters (Galatians 3:28; Colossians 3:11), this does not allow them to disregard the authority of their masters. They must be transformed by God’s grace so that they will obey their masters in the same way they seek to obey God. Likewise, Christian masters must respect their slaves and treat them with dignity.
