What does 2 Peter 2:4-10a reveal about what God does in and through me (the work of the Holy Spirit)? God the Holy Spirit helps me to hold fast to the promises of God’s Word—to believe that judgment is coming and that God will rescue me. Knowing what God has done in Christ to save me from judgment, the Spirit also works in my heart to encourage obedience. He prevents me from indulging the desires of the sinful nature, helping me to fight against them and pursue godliness instead.
