Even among the heavenly bodies themselves, great differences exist. The sun shines in one way, the moon in another. One star differs from the next.
By pointing to the glorious variety in God’s creation (1 Corinthians 15:39–41), Paul wants to remind his readers of God’s power and creativity. It is indeed foolish
(1 Corinthians 15:36) to doubt that he can raise and glorify a dead human body!
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.
