What does 2 Peter 3:1-7 reveal about what God does in and through me (the work of the Holy Spirit)? God the Holy Spirit helps me to be certain of Christ’s return so that I will pursue wholesome thinking and godly living in the present. He convinces me that God’s Word is true and trustworthy. He also helps me to see through the lies of the false teachers so that I am not taken in by them. Finally, he also helps me to fight against my evil desires to that I will not twist Scripture in order to justify my sin but submit instead to what Christ teaches.
